DPD EDITORIAL · THE IMPORTANT BIT
THE HOUSE RULES.
Welcome to the nation’s unofficial archive of messages that should have remained drafts. Bring wit. Bring perspective. Leave the identifying details at the door.
Laugh at behaviour
Confidence, hypocrisy, terrible opening lines and our own embarrassing choices are fair subjects for comedy. Bodies, disabilities, race, religion, gender and sexuality are not targets for abuse.
No detective work
Do not name, locate, tag or speculate about the person behind a story. Do not ask people to confirm an identity. Do not take a story elsewhere to organise a pile-on. Local humour is not an invitation to local harassment.
Own your part
Shame On Me welcomes a little self-awareness. A confession does not excuse harming someone, and the site does not provide a platform for celebrating coercion, abuse or threats.
Vote without targeting people
Reactions are responses to an anonymised editorial story. “JAIL 😂” is a comic reaction, not a legal finding or an instruction to punish anyone. City rivalry stays playful; no resident or contributor is ranked individually.
See a problem?
Use Report a concern if a story risks identification, refers to minors or uncertain ages, lacks permission, or contains threats or harmful material. Reports are private. Do not spread the material while reporting it.
The editor has the final say
Submissions never publish automatically. DPD Editorial may decline or remove content that does not fit these rules. No reaction count overrides privacy or review.
